Natasha Bhardwaj Expresses Love for Meher, Her Character in “Ishq Next Door”

Mumbai, June 30, 2023 – Actress Natasha Bhardwaj, known for her versatile performances, is all set to captivate audiences with her portrayal of Meher, a colorful and vibrant girl in the upcoming series “Ishq Next Door.” Natasha revealed that she fell in love with her character during the course of filming.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Rusk Studios, “Ishq Next Door” boasts an ensemble cast featuring Natasha Bhardwaj, Abhay Mahajan, Mrinal Dutt, and YouTube sensation Purav Jha.

Expressing her excitement about the project, Natasha Bhardwaj shared, “Meher is a sweet and simple girl who is also a social justice warrior. Whether it’s an issue of water scarcity or a societal problem, she actively engages in resolving it. She is ambitious and dreams of achieving something in her life, despite lacking support from her family. On the other hand, there is a budding romance in her life.”

Natasha further elaborated on her fondness for the character, stating, “We worked on this show some time ago, and when the director narrated the story to me while we were shopping and walking through the streets, I instantly fell in love with the narrative. I found my character, Meher, to be delightful. As an actor, we constantly seek to explore different roles. Previously, I played an intense character, and this time, I wanted to portray someone sweet. When this script came to me, I didn’t have a single second thought about taking it up.”

Emphasizing the desire to create an easy-breezy show, Natasha expressed, “The content we are witnessing today is often hard-hitting. We haven’t seen a simple, sweet, and relatable family love story in a while. ‘Ishq Next Door’ addresses all the aspects of love.
