Mumbai, June 30, 2023 – Ameesha Patel, the popular actress, recently took to her social media profiles to address concerns from her fans regarding two important matters. Firstly, she clarified that her character Sakina does not die in the upcoming film Gadar 2, contrary to speculations. Secondly, she revealed the payment tussle she faced with Anil Sharma Productions, criticizing the production company for not clearing dues to technicians and other celebrities involved in the project.
Ameesha shared a still from the film’s teaser and tweeted, “Hey all my lovely fans!! Too many of you have been concerned and worried about this shot from GADAR 2, thinking it’s Sakina who is dead!! Well, it’s not!! I can’t reveal who it is, but it’s not Sakina!! So please don’t worry!! Love you all.”
News had been circulating that Anil Sharma Productions, owned by filmmaker Anil Sharma, had failed to settle the dues of technicians and other professionals involved in the production. Confirming these rumors, Ameesha wrote, “Another concern of fans has been about certain incidents regarding ANIL SHARMA PRODUCTIONS that took place during the final schedule of GADAR 2 in Chandigarh at the end of May.”
She continued, “Many technicians, including makeup artists, costume designers, and others, did not receive their rightful remuneration and dues from ANIL SHARMA PRODUCTIONS. Yes, they did not!! However, @ZeeStudios_ intervened and ensured that all dues were settled, as they are a highly professional company!”
Ameesha further revealed that there were issues related to unpaid accommodations, transportation to Chandigarh airport, food bills, and cars for certain cast and crew members, which were not provided by ANIL SHARMA PRODUCTIONS. Once again, @zeestudios stepped in to rectify these problems caused by the production company.
Expressing gratitude, she concluded her series of tweets by acknowledging the efforts of the Zee Studios team, including Shariq Patel, Neeraj Joshi, Kabeer Ghosh, and Nischit, stating that they were instrumental in resolving the issues faced during the production of GADAR 2.
Directed by Anil Sharma and featuring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles, Gadar 2 is a joint production of Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions.
