Momentum Pictures has recently released the trailer for the upcoming family comedy movie, Wildflower, which is directed by Matt Smukler.

Wildflower is a film about the coming-of-age journey of a young lady named Bea, from the moment she is born until her graduation. Throughout her life, Bea has to navigate the complexities of having parents who are neurodivergent, as well as dealing with an extended family who have differing opinions on how best to support her.

The cast of the movie features several well-known actors and actresses, such as Jean Smart, Jacki Weaver, Kiernan Shipka, Dash Mihok, Charlie Plummer, Alexandra Daddario, Brad Garrett, Reid Scott, Erika Alexander, and Samantha Hyde.

At its core, Wildflower is a heartwarming comedy that celebrates the diversity of family structures. The film primarily focuses on Bea’s character, who represents the younger generation. It highlights the challenges of growing up too quickly and the importance of slowing down to appreciate one’s blessings.

Despite being an exceptional student, Bea feels responsible for taking care of her parents, which leads her to take up a job in pool maintenance. She disregards her high school guidance counsellor’s advice to apply for colleges that would take her away from home, thereby showcasing her strong commitment to family.

Jana Savage is the mastermind behind the screenplay of Wildflower, which is scheduled to release on March 21st, 2023.
