Actor Vijay Deverakonda’s generous donation of one crore rupees from the earnings of his film ‘Khushi’ has sparked backlash. The makers of his previous film, ‘World Famous Lover,’ have accused the actor of hypocrisy and are urging him to compensate for their losses as well. Vijay Deverakonda announced that he would donate one crore rupees to help 100 needy families. However, this act has not been well-received by the distributors of ‘World Famous Lover,’ who claim to have incurred significant losses due to the film’s poor performance. They are now seeking assistance from the actor to support their exhibitors and distributors’ families.
Vijay made his Bollywood debut last year in Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Liger’, which tanked at the box office. Produced under Karan Johar’s banner, Vijay went on a nationwide promotional spree for the film.
