Shah Rukh Khan, in a recent #AskSRK session on X (formerly known as Twitter), couldn’t stop gushing about his “Jawan” co-star Nayanthara, with whom he worked for the first time. He expressed his admiration for her talent and encouraged fans to show her love and appreciation for her hard work.
When a fan asked King Khan about his experience working with Tamil star Nayanthara, stating, “#AskSRK @iamsrk Shah Rukh Khan bhai, nayantara mam ke sath Kam karke kaisa laga she is so beautiful na” [How did you feel working with Nayanthara mam; she is so beautiful, isn’t she?], the “Pathaan” actor lauded Nayanthara’s beauty and her remarkable acting skills. He stated, “She is so beautiful and such a wonderful actor. Has added immensely to her role. Hope her fans in Tamil Nadu fall in love with her all over again and Hindi audience appreciates her hard work. #Jawan.”

Nayanthara’s inclusion in the film has already raised expectations for this high-octane action entertainer. She portrays the role of a cop in the film.
During this interactive session, when a user asked Shah Rukh if he was smitten by Nayanthara, he gave a witty response. King Khan tweeted, “Chup karo! Doh bacchon ki maa hain woh” [Keep quiet! She is the mother of two children.]
The trailer of “Jawan” recently left fans in awe of Shah Rukh’s looks and dialogues. The trailer showcased SRK orchestrating heists and taking charge of a team of six women as they executed various missions across the country. The film appears to feature SRK in a dual role, sporting distinct avatars.
Nayanthara plays a cop tasked with tracking down the vigilante. The trailer also hints at a romantic subplot between her character and SRK’s. The film’s plot details have been kept under wraps, but Vijay Sethupathi’s glimpses in the trailer have amplified the audience’s curiosity. The trailer also features Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Ridhi Dogra in action-packed sequences.
The trailer promises a mass entertainer with powerful dialogues. One such dialogue, “Bete ko haath lagane se pehle baap se baat kar” [Before touching the son, talk to his father], hints at an exciting cinematic experience that SRK has in store for the audience.
Not only this dialogue, but there is another one in the trailer that references actor Alia Bhatt. When asked, “What do you want?” SRK’s character replies, “Chahiye toh Alia Bhatt” [I want Alia Bhatt].
Shah Rukh Khan, along with director Atlee and music composer Anirudh Ravichander, recently promoted “Jawan” in Dubai, where the trailer was screened at the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, in front of an enthusiastic crowd. This is not the first time that one of SRK’s film trailers has been showcased at Burj Khalifa. Previously, in January 2023, the trailer of “Pathaan” was also displayed there amid great excitement.
Shah Rukh Khan’s visit to Chennai for a pre-release event was another highlight. During this event, he expressed his fondness for Tamil cinema and cuisine. He mentioned, “I enjoy Tamil films. I realized early on that the best films are made in Tamil.” Additionally, he expressed his love for Tamil food, jokingly stating, “Eating here in Tamil Nadu was fantastic, I lost my six-packs and gained them back. I found a wonderful variety of dishes in Tamil Nadu.”
The “Jawan” team is gearing up for its theatrical release on September 7. In addition to “Jawan,” Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in director Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming film “Dunki,” opposite Taapsee Pannu. The official release date for “Dunki” is still awaited.
