Good news for the fans of Priya Malik. The poet, actor, host, writer and teacher have been honoured for her outstanding performance in Supporting Role for Sheer Qorma by the Yellowstone International Film Festival. She plays Susan, onscreen daughter-in-law of veteran actor Shabana Azmi, in this much-talked about short film, helmed by Faraz Aarif Ansari.

“Recognitions like this means a lot. Sheer Qorma is a beautiful film, I feel proud to be a part of this journey.*,” she continues, “The film starts with me. My dialogue is the first dialogue of the film and I am so grateful for that opportunity. It’s an awkward family dinner on the occasion of Eid, and I got the honour of sharing the screen with such stalwarts like Shabana Azmiji, Divya Dutta, Swara Bhaskar and Jitin Gulati, he is playing the character of my husband in it.”
