Mika Singh Mourns the Demise of Legendary Punjabi Singer Surinder Shinda

The music industry is mourning the loss of a true legend as renowned singer and composer, Mika Singh, expressed his heartfelt sorrow over the passing of the beloved Punjabi singer, Surinder Shinda. The iconic artist, known for his melodious voice that touched hearts across generations, passed away this morning after battling a prolonged illness. He was 64 years old.

Mika Singh took to his social media platform to share an emotional tribute to the late singer. He reminisced about Surinder Shinda’s powerful and ghaint voice, which remains etched in the memories of music lovers. The singer conveyed how Surinder Shinda’s name was synonymous with remarkable vocal prowess and musical brilliance.

“Heartbroken to hear the news of my favorite singer #Surindershinda’s passing. His name is the first that comes to mind when we talk about ghaint and powerful voices,” wrote Mika Singh in his post.

Mika further praised the late singer for not only delivering hit songs but also creating extraordinary music. The talented composer confessed that he had always looked up to Surinder Shinda and aspired to sing like him. He firmly believes that Surinder Shinda’s musical legacy will continue to inspire generations, and he prayed for Waheguru ji’s blessings on the departed soul.

Surinder Shinda’s musical repertoire boasted chart-toppers like ‘jatt jeonah morh,’ ‘putt jattan de,’ ‘truck bnilliya,’ ‘balbiro bhabhi,’ and ‘Kaher Singh di mout,’ which touched the hearts of countless fans worldwide.

A few days before his hospitalization, the singer had complained of stomach aches, leading to a surgical procedure. Unfortunately, he later contracted an infection, necessitating his transfer to the DMC Hospital for treatment.

Hailing from Ludhiana’s Choti Ayali village, Surinder Shinda is survived by his son, Maninder Shinda. Apart from his musical brilliance, he made a mark in Punjabi films with notable projects such as “Putt Jattan De” and “Ucha Dar Babe Nanak Da.”

The music fraternity bids farewell to a legendary voice, while fans pay their respects to the unforgettable talent that was Surinder Shinda.
