Veteran actress Bhagyashree, known for her iconic role in “Maine Pyar Kiya,” recently addressed the issue of women’s independence in India. During a press meet in Mumbai to promote her new release, “Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video,” Bhagyashree shared her thoughts on the ongoing struggle for women’s autonomy in the country. The actress believes that true independence for women in India is yet to be achieved, as the thinking horizon of society hasn’t expanded as much as it should.

Bhagyashree, along with fellow actors Nimrat Kaur and Radhika Madan, spoke about the film and the critical issues it addresses in contemporary Indian society. “Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video” touches upon the challenges women face in a patriarchal society, where ambitions, education, and progress are often overshadowed by societal norms and control.

Addressing the issue at hand, Bhagyashree stated, “We often feel that we live in a patriarchal society, which is a crucial element of this film. It showcases that no matter how ambitious you are, no matter how much education you provide to your daughters and propel them into progress, despite all that, somewhere we still want to rein them in, control them.”

Despite the advancements made in various aspects of women’s lives, Bhagyashree believes that the horizon of societal thinking remains limited. She emphasized, “The horizon of our thinking is still the same. We may think we’ve done our best to educate our daughters, raised them well, but true independence for women in India is yet to come. This is an important issue.”

“Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video,” helmed by director Mikhil Musale and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films, explores the story of a girl who goes missing after her video becomes viral on social media. The film aims to shed light on the challenges and societal norms that still restrict women’s independence and ambitions in modern India.

Scheduled for release on October 27, 2023, the film is expected to initiate important conversations surrounding women’s rights and their continued struggle for true independence. Bhagyashree’s candid remarks have added depth and significance to the film’s themes, highlighting the urgency of addressing these issues in today’s society.

As Bhagyashree continues to engage with topics that resonate with women and society at large, her thoughts on the pursuit of women’s independence serve as a reminder that there is still much work to be done. “Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video” promises to be a thought-provoking and impactful film, offering viewers a glimpse into the ongoing challenges women face in their quest for true autonomy and self-determination in India.
