Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who next will be seen onscreen in a period drama ‘Takht’, has said that it’s in the bucket list of every actor to work with filmmaker Karan Johar. She added that she is feeling excited being a part of the film as it is going to be a special film.
Bhumi Pednekar was interacting with the media at the 4th season of Godrej L’Affaire, a curated experiential luxury lifestyle platform by the Godrej Group on Saturday in Mumbai.
Talking about her upcoming project named ‘Takht’, Bhumi said, “I am very excited about it. Literally, ‘Takht’ is my dream project. I think to work with Karan (Johar) is in the bucket list of any actor so, I feel very fortunate about it. It will be my third collaboration with Dharma (Porductions). I can’t wait to start shooting of the film. It’s a very special film for everybody who is in the cast and otherwise also.”
Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in a special cameo in Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar starrer ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ and Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’, talking about the appreciation from audience for her small roles in two films, Bhumi said, “I had a special appearance in both the films. ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ is franchise of ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ and the director of ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ (Hitesh Kewalya) has been the writer of ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’. He is somebody who is very dear friend and obviously its film’s franchise so, I had to do something in it. Everybody knows what the story (gay relationship) is of that film so, I didn’t had much to do in ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ (laughs).”
Bhumi added, “As far as ‘Bhoot’ us concerned, the team of that film is very close to me. In fact, the director (Bhanu Pratap Singh) of that film is one of my oldest friends. I just wanted to be a part of his first film and that’s why I did friendly appearance in the film. I am very happy that both the films are getting love and they doing whatever they are doing. “
Bhumi Pednekar last seen onscreen in a full-fledged role in ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ along with Taapsee Pannu which released in 2019, she said, “I am glad that my audiences are missing me because I all miss them. I miss seeing their reactions but now I am going to back now only.”
