Arjun Rampal on the sidelines of ‘The Extraordinary Award’ At ‘NexBrands Vision Awards’ says politics and acting don’t go hand in hand.
Arjun in a recent interview with ‘The Express Tribune’ said, Pakistani and Indian artists should be able to work together. when asked to comment on the same he said, “Basically, I think we are just actors who want to entertain people and spread happiness. I think politics and acting don’t go hand in hand and it’s best to keep them separate.”
Talking about this upcoming project with JP Dutta titled, ‘Paltan’, the ‘Daddy’ actor said, “I will start shooting in Chandigarh soon for ‘Paltan’. It is a war film based on true incidents. The movie will mostly be ready for release by June or July this year.”
Talking about his win at the NexBrands Vision Awards, Rampal said, “These are the called the ‘Extraordinary Awards’, which says that we are different and special. I think I work so that my life remains extraordinary and not ordinary. And for that, the most important thing for you to do is to keep your life simple and real, that’s what makes it extraordinary.”
Arjun who has been honored with numerous awards for films like ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Rock On’, and ‘Raajneeti’ says the closest to his heart are the ones he won for his acting performances. “I think the closest ones are when I received a national award for ‘Rock On’, ‘Raajneeti’ and ‘Ra one’.”
Arjun previously won the National Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor for ‘Rock On’ and won the International Indian Film Academy Awards in the same category for ‘Rock On’, and ‘Raajneeti’.

The war film ‘Paltan’ is scheduled for a summer 2018 release.
