Bollywood actor Kunal Khemu who was being praised for his small but important role in his last film ‘Kalank’, is all excited for his upcoming movie ‘Malang’. The actor expressed that playing a negative role in the movie, is like he is debuting again. He also said that, for him acting is acting, whether he play a good guy or a bad guy.
Kunal Khemu was seen interacting with the media on the sidelines at the 26th edition of SOL ‘Lions Gold Awards’ 2020 on Sunday in Mumbai.
Kunal conversing further on the same said, “My role in the movie ‘Kalank’ was appreciated a lot by the audience. I really hope that people do like my work in ‘Malang’ too. People have seen me in comedy and have cherished me for that. The audience have never seen me before as a bad guy. Because for the first time I am working in this genre. I am grateful to Abhishek and Karan for offering me this role.
I am very excited about ‘Malang’ because Mohit Suri was my first director. He directed me in ‘Kalyug’ in 2005 and I am collaborating with him after that. It’s a very cool film. I loved the script and I loved the way it has shaped up. I am very happy with the kind of response the trailer has received. It is just two weeks away from release, the entire team of ‘Malang’is excited about it, he added.”
‘Malang’ is a romantic, action, thriller movie, directed by Mohit Suri and jointly produced by Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, Bhushan Kumar and Jay Shewakramani. The film also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Anil Kapoor. It is scheduled to release on 7 February 2020.
