Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi has taken legal action against fellow actor Jacqueline Fernandez and various media organizations for defamation. The hearing for the case has been scheduled for March 25th at the Patiala House court in New Delhi. The complaint stems from a statement made by Fernandez in relation to an extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar and others, in which both Fatehi and Fernandez were questioned by different investigation agencies.
Fatehi claims that Fernandez’s statement has caused harm to her reputation and that the media organizations were acting in connivance with Fernandez in a conspiracy to ensure Fatehi’s financial, social, and personal downfall. The actress also alleges that Fernandez maliciously attempted to absolve herself from her actions in other criminal proceedings which are unrelated to Fatehi.
It appears that, as rivals in the film industry, Fernandez and her associates were unable to compete with Fatehi fairly, and thus have resorted to attempting to tarnish her reputation in order to cause her loss of work and open up opportunities for themselves.
Fatehi’s legal team, consisting of advocates Vikram Singh Chauhan, Umair Ahmed, and Tanisha, stated that Jacqueline made a “false statement” which was “unnecessary and unwarranted” and that Jacqueline “unnecessarily dragged the complainant” and “defamed her as she is in the same industry and is fully aware that the business of any artist and their career is solely based on their reputation.”
The reputation of any individual in the film industry is an asset, and any damage to it can cause huge and irreparable damage to their career. As Fatehi stated, “It is also pertinent to submit here that the reputation of any person in the film industry is an asset and any dent in the same would cause huge and irreparable damage to their career.”
In conclusion, this is a serious case and it will be interesting to see how the court will rule. The hearing is set for March 25th, and it will be important to see if Nora Fatehi’s allegations are proven true or not. It’s a reminder for all the people in the industry to be careful with their words and actions as it can have severe consequences.
