Naseeruddin Shah Hospitalised Due To Pneumonia
Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, known for his incredible contribution to cinema, was rushed into a city hospital two days ago. He is diagnosed with pneumonia and there is a patch in his lungs for which he is undergoing treatment currently. The veteran actor has been getting treatment for two days and according to his recent health update, he is stable and recovering well. He is currently admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai. His family - wife Ratna Pathak Shah and kids - are by his side. His manager has now confirmed that the actor is stable and responding well to the treatment. “He has been in the hospital for two days. He's under medical supervision. He was brought in for Pneumonia. There was a patch found in his lungs and it became necessary for him to be hospitalized immediately. His condition is stable and he's responding well to the treatment” said his manager.
The actor has been in the business for several decades, fanning the parallel cinema movement in a big way. He has also dabbled in theatre and mainstream Hindi films apart from doing crossover cinema among other things. Naseeruddin Shah has won numerous awards in his career, including three National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards, and an award at the Venice Film Festival. The Government of India has honored him with the Padma Shri and the Padma Bhushan awards for his contributions to Indian cinema. He was last seen in The Tashkent Files, Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, and Mee Raqsam (Zee5 Film). We wish him a speedy recovery.
