Actor Vivek Oberoi says when he entered the industry rather than taking the conventional path of using his father’s influence; he took a different route and auditioned for everything.Interacting with Newshelpline on the sidelines of Music Garage launch event, Vivek talked about the kind of opportunities and avenues people have right now is a lot higher as compared to when he started out in Industry.He said, “When I enter the Industry, I picked a different route than most people. I didn’t wanted to use my father’s influence, I’ll not asked my father to produce a film for me or launch me, and during that time it was a trend, people getting launched by their families. Back then I didn’t have so many avenues, I mean there was no place where I could have gone and made a music video and showcased my talent, I had to audition for a role in RGV’s office, I was lucky that I got the opportunity, which most people don’t get it”
Further adding, “We need a platform which recognizes young talent. Music Garage is great platform because when you make 100 new songs, you’d giving chance to 100 new talents, where they can showcase their talent and be liked by people”Vivek enjoy a multilingual fan base, he is probably the only actor who is not just popular in main stream Hindi cinema but regional and south cinema as well.
Talking about his upcoming projects, Vivek said, “I have signed six projects, some for OTT and some theatrical release, I am shooting for some movies right now, some I will start in January. I am shooting for a show for MX Player, it is a mega project. All in all, I am super excited to get back to work”
