‘I am very excited to share film Toofaan with the world', Farhan Akhtar
Farhan Akhtar has once again shown with the trailer of his upcoming film 'Toofaan' that he does not play the character in the film, he rather becomes the character. Everyone is appreciating the trailer which was released yesterday. The film is releasing on Amazon Prime on 16 July. The actor who is all set to win the hearts of millions once again spoke at length about the film, his role, and much more at the trailer launch. Talking about the film, he said, " I am very excited to share Film Toofaan with the world. I am thankful to Amazon Prime who is presenting the film for us. It is a sports drama and I feel blessed to have collaborated with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra once again after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. It has been one of the most amazing adventures for me as far as movie making is concerned. I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of this film."
Talking about the challenges he faced while training for the film," It was like a leap training. I had a little advantage of endurance and fitness because I always like to keep fit. I started training for boxing in the month of October-November and we started shooting Next August. So I trained for 8-9 months."When we grew up, we had seen a lot of films on Boxing. At that time, it used to be exciting to think about being a part of a boxing film. You feel excited that there will be a montage of training, but when you start training for the sport, you realize however fit you are that you can not learn this sport with a carefree attitude. It is an extremely demanding sport. Any sportsperson can tell you that boxing is the most demanding sport because it has physical, mental, and emotional aspects. You are constantly engaged. It is like playing chess with your body."
He further added," Though it was difficult, It was very exciting too because you knew what we were going to make. So it gives you the fuel. I would like to remember a line from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag that says If you are doing some work with an honest intention and spirit, you automatically find the strength. "Talking about Mrunal as a co-star, "I cannot imagine anybody else in the part of Ananya apart from her. It seems like this role was written for her like when we were scripting, we had it already in mind that this role will be played by Mrunal. She has given a fabulous performance."Film Toofan is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra starring Farhan Akhtar as a National Level Boxer, alongside Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal in supporting roles. The film is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime on 16 July.
