They make exciting films which are aesthetically also good. The second reason was Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. I have been a fan of his work and films, be it Rang De Basanti or Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. When I got the opportunity to work with him, I thought I should go and meet him. Then I heard the story. A film like Toofaan is a must for our country. Besides this, I as an actor was getting to do a lot in the film. I thought I would get a chance to work with Farhan Akhtar. Post Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, I was impressed with his dedication to the role. So I thought, I will also learn from him.”Talking about his experience working on the film, he said," I had never done a role like this before in my career. This film required a lot of physical training. When I was getting trained for the film, I realized I used to sweat within 5-10 minutes. To learn boxing is a form of cardio exercise. I realized It will benefit me for the film as well as my personal life. “
He further added, "I used to go home and tell my children if I would have been 20-25 years younger, I would have definitely pursued learning this sport. Overall, it was a great experience working on the film.” Film Toofan is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra starring Farhan Akhtar as a National Level Boxer, alongside Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal in supporting roles. The film is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime on 16 July.
