Korean actor Kang Soo-yeon is no more. She was 55
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kang died of a cerebral hemorrhage two days after being transported to a hospital in Gangnam, Seoul due to cardiac arrest last Saturday. Born in Seoul in 1966, he made his debut as a child actor in the 1970s. She won the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival in 1987 for I'm Kwon-taek's , at the age of 21. Two years later, in 1989, she won her Best Actress award at the Moscow International Film Festival for another film by the same director.
Kang is reported to have recently filmed a scene where she filmed the Netflix original sci-fi movie 'Jungi'.
Gangna's funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, with Kim Dong-ho, the co-founder of the Busan International Film Festival and the current chairman of the Gangneung International Film Festival.
