Bollywood filmmakers, such as Madhur Bhandarkar, Rohit Shetty, Rajkumar Hirani, Mahesh Bhatt and more praised PM Narendra Modi’s speech and requested their fans to be part of ‘Janta Curfew’.
PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Thursday (March 19) and made a fervent appeal to the citizens to observe ‘Janta Curfew’ on March 22 from 7am to 9pm to contain the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
PM urged the people to face the Coronavirus pandemic with restraint and asked them to stay indoors as much as possible to avoid getting infected by COVID-19.
Filmmakers took to their social media handles and spread PM Modi’s message on ‘Janta Curfew’ on social media.
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt wrote, “Janta Curfew: Social distancing. Staying apart to put things together. #Jantacurfew”
Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani also shared, “Please support PM @Narendramodi‘s #Jantacurfew initiative by staying at home on Sunday March 22, 7am to 9pm and by cheering from your windows and balconies at 5pm for our unsung hero’s who are working tirelessly to keep us safe and the essential services running @PMOindia”
Director Rohit Shetty shared, “No one is better than @narendramodi ji when it comes to Moral boosting. Let’s show our support and dedication to fight this pandemic. Be thankful to the people running emergency services and reduce their burden by following the guidelines. #JantaCurfew #IndiaFightsCorona”
Madhur Bhandarkar wrote, “Encouraging, logical & practical speech from our Honourable PM Shri @narendramodi ji. Let us all join hands with him in this fight against #COVID-19. Stay home, & stay safe”
The government also stated that wherever possible, companies should allow employees to work from home in view of coronavirus threat. As per the reports, India is among the top 30 countries at “high-risk” from the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
