Bollywood News & Gossips

Tusshar Kapoor, who was present at the success party for Lipstick under My Burkha on Thursday, said the film is the only hit film in this quarter.

“All is well that ends well. The audience has more than made up for all the stress and struggles that this movie went through. There is justice in this country. If you watch the film, you’ll see that the censor board hasn’t removed any parts of the film that are important to the story. At the end of it, all this film was released the right way and that’s the audience has loved it. Even though the film different it earned so much at the box office, and it can be called as the only hit of this quarter of the year.” said Tusshar Kapoor during the media interaction.

I would say that our industry always supports good cinema. Last year also the industry came together to support ‘Udta Punjab’ that film was also struggling but everyone stood in support for the film and helped raise voice against the censor board. I think our industry is quite united, and when it comes to good cinema and young and new talent and their voice being heard.”

Tusshar Kapoor also spoke about his upcoming film ‘Golmaal Again directed by Rohit Shetty’, he said, “The shoot is almost complete. There is only one schedule for songs which we will shot in Hyderabad. After that, the film will be complete. The film will release in Diwali.”

Konkona Sen Sharma who is one of the leading ladies in the film spoke about the film’s success.” When I received the script first time I thought it a small film about 4 women. Even though I love the film I never imagined it would go onto become such a big movement almost. I am really happy it got a good release and everyone is appreciating it.”

Lipstick Under My Burkha is a black comedy written and directed by Alankrita Shrivastava. The film cast included Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak, Aahana Kumra and Plabita Borthakur in lead roles. The film was released on 21st July.
