For the ones who are not aware of…What is the term, Bolo Hau? Tell us something about the movie.
The film is a sweet love story about Salman and Rukhsar, set in old city of Hyderabad. It authentically captures the mood and vibe of the city in a way I believe no other film has. The aim is to leave the audience smiling at the end of the film.
Can you give us a slight gist behind the concept, ‘Hyderabadi tadka’?
Bolo Hau is a love story based in Hyderabad. Since the film’s background is set in old Hyderabad, it has got all the flavors of Hyderabad. It’s a simple and innocent love story of Salman and Rukshar.
What is the role that you are playing in the movie?
Rukhsar is a young, vivacious girl born into a conservative Nawab family. She has a mind of her own and isn’t afraid to hold her ground and stand for what she believes in. She is strong, sensitive, and kind – that’s what I found most attractive about her character.
How was your experience with your father directing the movie?
We worked very closely on this project from start to finish; it was good seeing him in action. He’d only respond to me on set if I referred to him as TarunJi or Director Saab! He’s got a solid vision of how he wants things to be and it was exciting being a part of the process of bringing that vision to life in the best way possible. I’m grateful that he trusted me with this.
Any upcoming projects?
I have a couple of things in the pipeline that I am excited about, other than that I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for me.
