National Tourism Day is observed on January 25. Speaking on the occasion actor-turned-humanitarian and yoga expert Anu Aggarwal shared that though she has traveled all across the globe, places like Dharamshala and McLeodganj are very close to her heart.

“I have had the opportunity to travel a lot internationally through modeling and then shooting. I have many favourites, but I would choose Bali and Indonesia for the spiritual feeling that exists there. When it comes to India, I love to spend time in the Himalayas. Meditation took me to places like Kutch, Dharamshala, McLeodganj where I lived and learned to meditate, and also the nature of the human mind, and how to manage it to get the best out of life,” she said.

While she agrees that traveling and visiting new places teaches a lot, she revealed that her favourite place is now her mind.

“Travelling to different destinations opens your mind and is fantastic for gaining knowledge about different cultures and their lifestyles. I love eating, and also cooking, so different cuisines and kinds of food habits are interesting to know about. Each place you travel to is amazing and offers a lot to learn but now my favourite place is my own mind. I travel inside me, looking at my thoughts with a clear, non-judgemental open mind, and the results are unbelievable. My healing happened through this mind travel,” Anu ended.
