Bhoomi: Sanjay dutt's comeback film with Aditi Rao Hydari

Bhoomi is an upcoming Indian action thriller film directed and co-produced by Omung Kumar. It will star Sanjay Dutt, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sidhant Gupta. The team recently promoted their film in Le Meridien, Delhi. Bhoomi is packed to the brim with action, and a lot of sensitive emotions. The movie explores the relationship between a daughter, played by Aditi Rao Hydari, and a father, portrayed by Dutt.

Aditi on being asked about the experience while shoot said, “This movie made me miss my father as I lost him in cancer a couple of years ago, so it was very emotional for me to relive some of these moments.” Omung on being asked about the film said, “This film is a full commercial film but this father daughter bond that is portrayed was my wish to show on a large scale. And baba was the best person to do it. It’s like a dream come true for me as I was given a responsibility of Baba’s comeback film. But movie is really good and I am sure you people will like it.”

Aditi on being asked about the Ill treatment with women said, “The film raises lot of questions that has social relevance, there are beasts in our country who badly treat women but I think the mentality and change starts from your own home. I try to do the same and hope everyone to do the same. The film is also an initiative to change that mentality.”

Sanjay Dutt, on comparison of Bhoomi with his past film Pitaah said, “According to me ever film in India has same emotions. In Pitaah the topic could be same but the treatment in this film is entirely different. Our country is facing this problem of ill treatment against women that I have strongly opposed since start. The film is shot differently and has different scenes but I don’t think it replicates that movie.” He then added and said, “We did shoot in very difficult locations but we have got full support and the outcome is great.”

The film is slated to release on 22nd September 2017
