Guru even quits his job and moves from Goa to Mumbai to make a new beginning with Aisha. Just when things seem perfect, she falls prey to an attack. Devastated, Guru starts hunting the miscreant and is shocked to learn of his seemingly innocuous and simple identity. Something is amiss and Guru is unable to place a finger on the precise problem.
Ek Villain had a good start to its second week as the film as the film collected around 3.25 cr on its 8th day at the box office. The film over last few days has started showing considerable drops after an excellent performance in first weekend.
The movie has collected around 79.50 cr in 8 days at the box office and despite the drop in collections and two new releases this week (Bobby Jasoos and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil) it remains the first choice among the audience and will show good growth over its 2nd weekend as the word of mouth of the film is good.
The second weekend will decide whether it can touch 100 cr or not. The film showed  has started dropping in week days due to Ramadan. The muslim dominated areas have dropped considerably. Even territories like Gujarat, CP-Berar , Rajasthan , Nizam etc have dropped rapidly owing to ramdan effect. Territories like East Punjab, Delhi/Up are still performing  outstandingly well with the other good numbers coming in from West Bengal, Mumbai belts.
The fact that a movie starring no A league superstars not even big sale-able stars and it is challenging Salman Khan’s Jai Ho is simply a huge achievement for a film. The movie has the best occupancy ( per screen occupancy) this year and it is followed by 2 States. Anil Thadani who bought All India rights of the film at 25 cr has already recovered his entire amount from the weekend share only and the movie is already in profits.
