The first outing of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, Gully Boy, is all set for a world premiere at forthcoming Berlin Film Fest and “Raazi” actress is super excited about it.
Zoya Akhtar directorial Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Kalki Koechlin, will have its world premiere at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. The film, about street rappers from Mumbai, is so far among three productions which have been invited to participate in the Berlinale Special.
Alia Bhatt took to her Twitter profile and expressed her excitement. She wrote, “Wohooo so so exciting! #GullyBoy has been selected by the Berlin International Film Festival for a special gala screening…Cannot wait…@RanveerOfficial #ZoyaAkhtar @ritesh_sid @FarOutAkhtar”
The film Gully Boy is based on the life of rapper Divine, has been selected as part of the Berlinale Special programme. It is set for release on February 14, 2019.
Ranveer is ecstatic about the news. He tweeted, “Delighted!!! Gully Boy has been selected by the Berlin International Film Festival for a special gala screening!!! Ow Oww,”
Gully Boy is an upcoming musical drama being co-produced by Akhtar’s Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions. The film is based on the lives of Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy is known for their song “Mere Gully Mein” in Mumbai.
It is confirmed for release on 14 February 2019.
