Cambridge MIT honors Anupam Kher with the Distinguished Fellow Title

Veteran actor Anupam Kher who is currently busy shooting for his Medical Drama, ‘New Amsterdam’ has been honored with a  ‘Distinguished Fellow’ by Cambridge MIT Sloan School of Management in Boston.

Kher on Sunday shared the news on Twitter and wrote, “Thank you IndiaGlobal at Cambridge MIT Sloan School… This honor gives me a further sense of responsibility towards my country. A lower middle-class Kashmiri boy from Shimla has come a long way,”

He even shared a few photographs at the event holding up a frame that honors the Distinguished Fellow Title.

Anupam was one of the key speakers at the Boston full-day India Global Summit at MIT Sloan School of Management. The summit was an opportunity to learn about India’s emerging influence in the global economy.

The actor recently has been in the news as he resigned as chief of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) due to his work commitment.

In Bollywood Kher will next appear in  ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ along side Akshaye Khanna as Baru, and Divya Seth Shah as Manmohan Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur.

The film is directed by debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, along with Hansal Mehta as the creative producer.

The script of “The Accidental Prime Minister”, produced by Bohra Bros, is written by Mayank Tewari. It is slated to release on December 21.
