Shreyas Talpade says his upcoming Alt Balaji series, ‘Baby Come Naa’ is in the naughty space but isn’t vulgar.
Shreya interacted with media for the show’s promotion in Mumbai on Wednesday.
When asked Shreya why he chose to work on a Digital Platform after only working on the big screen for so long, he said, ” Why not? I have played comedy characters before not haven’t actually worked a character like this and that is the kind of freedom you get on a web platform. When this was offered to me I was excited to be a part of it because the character is so different then what I usually play.
The icing on the cake was to be able to work with Farhad Samji’s script. He wrote stories like Golmaal, Singham, and directed films like Entertainment and Housefull 3 and has written and directed the show. I knew his spacing and how he would work with the content, which made this even more fun. The show is in a naughty space but not in the vulgar space. We have maintained that line in the show that you can enjoy the show alone, with friends or family.
Talking about the response for the show’s song and trailer, Shreyas said, “We got a positive response to the trailer. People are really liking the punches in the song and are looking forward to watching the show when it starts streaming on Alt Balaji. So fingers crossed we hope they like the show as much as they have enjoyed the trailer.”
Shreyas who has been part of the ‘Golmaal’ team was asked if they will also appear on Rohit’s upcoming film with Ranveer Singh, he said, “We all have a cameo in ‘Simmba’ and to be part of Rohit’s any film in itself is very fun and is amazing, because of the kind of person he is. He will always take everyone along with him as he moves forward. It is a very small cameo but when people will watch it they will have a lot of fun.”
Apart from Shreyas Talpade, the ALTBalaji web series also stars Chunky Panday, Kiku Sharda and Shefali Zariwala and more in lead roles.
Ekta Kapoor’s adult comedy, ‘Baby Come Naa’ will be available to stream on the platform Alt Balaji on 1st November.
