Arts Bridges the Gap, But Not this time says Vidya Balan

Actress Vidya Balan says she is firm believers of the fact that only art can bridge the gap between two quarrelling countries but this time it is different, no got to stop and reply appropriately.

Actress Vidya Balan was interacting with media at the launch of her debut radio show “Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho”
Talking about the makers banning the release of their film in Pakistan, Vidya Balan said, “Now we need to take a stand, I’d always felt that art should be free, there should be no boundaries in the art, but this time I am feeling like, enough is enough”

When asked that art is the saving grace for quarrelling countries, Vidya said, “As an individual, I believe that there is no better way to bring people together than arts, whether its dance, music, poetry, theatre, movies or any other art form. But this time I think we should just take a break from this practice and see what can be done for the future. As I said, some tough calls have to be taken at some point.”
“I think as Indians, we’re very large-hearted, accepting, forgiving, but after a point in time, one got to reply, I think it is important”

The entire Bollywood Industry has opened a front against Pakistan after Pulwama Terror Attack, which took many innocent souls. The makers and producers in accordance with associations across the board have decided not to release films in Pakistan and called for a ban on artists as well.
In the worst-ever terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir since militancy erupted in 1989, a suicide bomber on February 14 rammed his SUV packed with explosives into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district, killing at least 40 troopers. Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed later claimed responsibility for the attack.

Films like Total Dhamaal, Luka Chuppi, Arjun Patiala, Milan Talkies, Notebook, Kabir Singh and many more have opted out from releasing in Pakistan.
