After the first motion poster from the film, the makers of Rajinikanth starrer Petta are out a special treat for fans, unveils a poster from the film.
The official handle of Sun Pictures dropped the second poster on social media. They captioned it, “#PettaSecondLook@rajinikanth @karthiksubbaraj @anirudhofficial @DOP_Tirru @sureshsrajan @PeterHeinOffl @vivekharshan @VijaySethuOffl @Nawazuddin_S @SimranbaggaOffc @trishtrashers”
In the poster, a younger Rajinikanth is clad in white dhothi and shirt, sporting a rustic look, complete with sacred ash smeared on his forehead. This look is in stark contrast from his motion-poster that saw him wearing shades and a scarf.
The film’s shooting has been progressing in different locations across north India in places like Varanasi, Lucknow and Darjeeling. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the tunes for this gangster action film with Tirru cranking the camera and Vivek Harshan is in charge of the editing.
Produced by Sun Pictures, Petta is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj of Pizza fame. The film also stars Bobby Simha, Vijay Sethupathi, Simran, Trisha, Malayalam actor Manikandan R Achari and Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.
The film is slated for next year release on the auspicious day of Pongal.
Apart from Petta, the superstar Rajinikanth is also promoting 2.0, which also stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. It is touted to be the most expensive film ever made in India.
