The common theme between Vipul’s films in England and the London, when asked about the thought behind using the country as a backdrop he said, “London because when I started searching for the story to direct, one thought started this entire  journey that if a girl makes a decision in life will it be followed by everyone or will there be objections. After that, we started developing the script which turned out to be what it is now. Later we also wanted the story to be about how far can you go for your love.”

He added, “Then we wrote it, it had to be London and Punjab. We tried Canada but I mentally couldn’t see Canada as part of the film. Then we went back to England and that’s how it became Namaste England.”
