Tusshar Kapoor says Independence day should be celebrated everyday since the concept isn’t just about the nation’s freedom but also our fundamental rights.
Tusshar interacted with media on Wednesday in wake of the upcoming celebration of Independence Day.
Talking about celebrating the national holiday , Tusshar said, “People don’t take Indepence day seriously. The day has been minimized to a holiday merely because of the stressful life, Everyone gets an off and any one would rather enjoy the day. But ya we can celebrate the day everyday by thinking about the country, and people do that.
The celebration isn’t limited to the freedom of our nation but it is about our speech, our expresion. It is about our fundamental right and when we experience them it should remind us of our nations Independence.”
Asked what does the term patriotism means to him, Tushaar said, “According to me patriotism is when someone says something about your country you cant listen in and stay quite. If you love your country you wont be able to stay quiet. No one has the right to point fingers at our country.”
‘The Dirty Picture’ actor said, he has no preference in roles because he has performed in a vast array of characters. “I have always been doing commercial cinema and I have done many different roles. When I am offered a script I look at the role that I like the most whether it is commercial or noncommercial.
I don’t have preference of sort, you have seen me in many roles from filsm like ‘Shor in the City’ to ‘Kya Cool Hai Hum’ to ‘Golmaal’ to even ‘Shoot out at Lokhandwala’. So I like to do all kind of film, I am still young. (laughs)”
