In a recent post for the Vudu Viewing Party for Avengers: Infinity War, directors Anthony and Joe Russo confirmed their belief that the film was a Thanos movie.

During the Viewing party a fan asked the brothers which character they were most excited to work with during the film:

@VuduFans Do you thinks it’s ok if I watch @Avengers 2-3 times today before we start the #VuduViewingParty? Because I’m totally going to!!!! @Russo_Brothers what character were you most excited to work with when filming #InfinityWars

Thanos. We always thought of it as his movie. – Russo Brothers #InfinityWar #VuduViewingParty

The answer reflected previous statements made by the two regarding Thanos:

This is something that the two have said in the past. Due to the large number of characters in the latest Avengers film, much of the plot centered around Thanos who drives most of the action as opposed to any of the individual heroes. And from the sound of things, they still maintain this belief and it is an admittedly hard one to argue.
