Filmmaker Hansal Mehta is excited for Aanand L Rai produced and Soham Shah staring Tumbbad, the Indian fantasy film has been selected for a screening at the upcoming Venice International Film Festival in its Critics’ Week section.

Directed by Rahi Anil Barve Tumbad is a fantasy thriller and revolves around a desolate and forgotten village. The story is structured on the basis of greed.

The Venice critics’ week entries will compete alongside the official selection for the fest’s coveted ‘Lion of the Future prize’ which is worth $100,000.
The full official-selection of the 75th Venice Film Festival will be announced by this week. The fest is set to run from August 29 to September 8.
