The ‘Big Sick’ Star Gets Schooled by Twitter Conservatives. It isn’t pretty.
Comic actor Kumail Nanjiani caught Nazi fever this week along with many of his Hollywood peers.
The star of “Silicon Valley” and “The Big Sick” played the Nazi card against the Trump administration on Twitter. It’s a practice that predates Trump’s improbably White House victory.
While Judd Apatow just declared any debate over President Donald Trump’s Nazi roots to be over, Nanjiani took a slightly more moderate position.
I know there are a bunch of people upset at the Nazi comparisons, but the highlighting-crimes-by-immigrants move is literally what the Nazis did, with Jews instead of immigrants. A sure fire way to stop being compared to Nazis is to stop acting like them.

Naturally, conservative Twitter responded in ways that the mainstream press wouldn’t dream of attempting (unless the ideologies were reversed). Consider the following nine reactions as proof that social media offers more balance than the liberal media would ever attempt.
Individual beds, video games, cable television, sport activities, schools, 3 meals; are these the new Nazi “showers”. Seriously? Let’s go back to space alien theories. They were harder to disprove.

My god man, how can you be this willfully stupid? There is nothing remotely Nazi-like about the US securing its own border.

A sure fire way to stop being compared to Nazis is to stop acting like Obama… gotcha.

Given that every Republican presidential nominee of my US lifetime (1978-present) has been compared to Hitler and the “Nazi” charge is flung around as promiscuously as a drunk coed on spring break … I rather doubt there is any “surefire” way to avoid.

People who are so sure of their righteousness on the left are some of the most morally broken. As someone whose extended family were wiped out in the Holocaust, you cheapen the horrors of what the Nazis were. Total insult. Shame on you!

I wish people would stop emulating
Hitler by being vegetarians.

Now do groups of thugs intimidating public officials outside their homes and in public places. https://t.co/AYSwFX2CuZ

The Nazi first went after German Jews, kind of like their progressive brethren in the modern Democratic Party are going after American citizens who won’t obey. https://t.co/daFibOK90X

Hi Kumail, Nazis exterminated 6 million Jews in a mass genocide. I lost family on both sides in the holocaust. The more you guys compare everyone to Nazis the more you’ll be blind when the real ones show up… https://t.co/ho7OdxRO9Y
