Angad Bedi as Bikramjeet Singh in Soorma


Newly Wed Angad Bedi is all set to play the role of “Bikramjeet Singh” in forthcoming sports biopic titled Soorma, unveils his character first look motion poster.

Angad Bedi shared the motion poster on his social media profile. He wrote, “Meet the reel life #BikramjeetSingh…the mans got a heart of gold…thank you @sonypicsprodns @IChitrangda @SnehaRajani n @shaadesh for believing in me… #soorma releases on 13th July”

Directed by Shaad Ali, the movie also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Chitrangda Singh, Taapsee Pannu and is an Indian biographical film based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh.
Sandeep Singh is an ace hockey player and an ex-captain of the Indian National Team. While the film isn’t a biopic, it explores an important chapter of Sandeep’s life which would be portrayed. Apparently, the film will be a love story of two hockey players and their relationship.

Soorma tells the story of the international hockey player Sandeep Singh, played by Diljit Dosanjh, who was paralyzed and used a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gun-shot injured him in 2006.
Fighting against all odds, Sandeep got back on his feet and made a comeback to international hockey in 2008. India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup under his captaincy and went on to qualify for the 2012 Olympics.
The film is scheduled to release on 13 July 2018.
