​Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh in Sacred Games, Promo Out


Saif Ali Khan is all set to play the role of a “Sardar Cop” in forthcoming crime thriller web-series titled Sacred Games and maker of the series drops a promo introducing Sartaj Singh, played by the actor!
The official social media handle of Sacred Games dropped a promo, featuring Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh, who is posted in Mumbai and has an interesting take on the life in the big city!
In the promo, the Saif Ali’s character is seen saying, “Mumbai is filled with cutthroats and clowns. No elbowroom in the trains, No headroom at home, Vada pav and cutting chai passes off as a meal here. Sometimes I don’t know if this city is home or hell”
The series revolves around a contemptuous Mumbai city cop Sartaj Singh (Saif) who is tipped off on the location of crime lord Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin). As the lives of these two men collide, it exposes the trappings of a bigger game than the both of them.
Sacred Games is based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 thriller novel Sacred Games. The series will be produced in partnership with Phantom Films. All eight hour-long episodes are to be directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. The show is one of the seven Netflix Indian Originals in production.
The series also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Surveen Chawla, Rajshri Deshpande and Anupriya Goenka in lead roles. The show will be released on July 6, 2018.
