Filmmaker Karan Johar says that upcoming Parmanu, Starring John Abraham, and Diana Penty, helmed by Abhishek Sharma, is a riveting and arousing film.
“Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran” is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in 1998. It features John Abraham, Diana Penty, and Boman Irani in the lead and the film is directed by Abhishek Sharma.
Filmmaker Karan Johar saw the film during a special screening and took to his social media account and praised it. He wrote, “Saw #Parmanu!!! A riveting and arousing film….this true story kept me glued to my seat towards the end! Watch out for the nail-biting climax of this immensely patriotic true story!!!! With such praises coming from a renowned filmmaker, John Abraham finds himself grateful and Karan’s input “Invaluable”.

The movie is based on the nuclear test conducted by Indian Army in Pokhran, Rajasthan in 1998. The film is produced by Zee Studios and JA Entertainment. The film is written by Saiwyn Quadras, Sanyuktha Chawla Sheikh, and Abhishek Sharma. The film opens in the theatre on 25th May 2018.
As for Karan Johar, the filmmaker recently unveiled the trailer of upcoming anthology, Lust Stories, which also features segment directed by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, and Dibakar Banerjee.
