Makers of ‘Blackmail’ hosted special screening of their film on Tuesday in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities Arunoday Singh, R. Balki, Omung Kumar, Kirti Kulhari, Ashwini Chaudhary, Akshay Oberoi, Palak Muchhal, Palash Muchhal, Sameer Soni, Salim Merchant, Sachin Ahir, Sangeeta Ahir, Anil Kapoor and Abhinay Rao attended special screening of the film.
Talking about response from audience for ‘Blackmail’, films’ lead actress Kirti said, “We are getting really good response for the trailer and songs of the film. I was actually in Goa as I was shooting for something. I haven’t seen the film yet but people from industry whoever has seen it giving really positive response so I am very excited to see the film myself and looking forward to know reaction from common audience”
When asked about Irrfan Khan’s ill-health, Kirti said, “Honestly, I don’t have details about his health as I am not in touch with Irrfan (Khan) because he has lot of other things to take care of so I am aware about him as much as media knows about him. I hope he recovers from it soon and returns here”
Irrfan Khan has been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour, a rare carcinoma that can target various parts of the body, and is out of the country for treatment. Due to that he hasn’t been able to promote Blackmail.
In ‘Blackmail’, Irrfan is married to Kriti Kulhari’s character but discovers she is sleeping with Arunoday Singh’s character. Instead of opting for the more generic route of murder or divorce, the protagonist decides to blackmail the wife’s lover for money.
Blackmail features Irrfan Khan, Kirti Kulhari, Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh, Omi Vaidya, Anuja Sathe, Pradhuman Singh Mall and Gajraj Rao. It is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Deo’s RDP Motion Pictures.
Blackmail is slated to release on 6th April, 2018.
