On International Women’s Day Actresses Taapsee Pannu have encouraged women to be strong and take up self-defense classes to protect themselves and feel empowered.
Taapsee, who has featured in strong roles in films like “Pink” and “Naam Shabana’, is associated with #StandStrong – Women’s Horlicks latest digital campaign to encourage women to take up self-defense, unveils a video on social media to create and spread social awareness about the cause.
The actress captioned it video, “The immense strength inside us needs to be tapped and improved. This Women’s Day I choose Self-Defense with @Womens_Horlicks so I can #StandStrong What’s stopping you? Take the first step to a stronger you today”
The message in the video is simple and effective, don’t be scared and hit back with a simple trick that one could easily learn and they work. Taapsee Pannu is shown performing a simple “elbow strike” in the video, which could come in handy in a tricky spot for the girls.
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu hit a massive high on career front with back to back hits, such as Judwaa 2, Running Shaadi and The Ghazi Attack.
This year Taapsee once again has an interesting line of releases, starting with Dil Juunglee, Tadka, Soorma, Mulq, and Manmarziyan.
Dil Juunglee is an upcoming romantic comedy film written and directed by Aleya Sen. It also stars Saqib Saleem, Abhilash Thapliyal, Nidhi Singh, Ayesha Kaduskar and Srishti Shrivastava and is scheduled to release on 9 March 2018.
