When asked Khan what does he feel for pairing of Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff who are working first time in ‘Baaghi 2’, he said, “I think pair of Tiger and Disha should become pair of Rishi Kapoor- Neetu Singh, Govinda-Karishma Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha, Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol, Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone. I have seen many generations and I think I learned a lot from Disha in this film. I used to see the reflection of Sridevi in Disha in between action and cut procedure of a scene. She has an amazing ability to switch on and off for a scene and on the other hand, Tiger used to come on set all prepared from home to shoot a scene and when he reaches the set he is grown of that work and he always used to ask me to go higher on terms scale and quality that’s why I am saying both of them are thorough professional”
Jacqueline Fernandez’s new version of ‘Ek Do teen’ song from ‘Baaghi 2’ received criticism from all quarters on social media. Tezaab director N Chandra also slammed Jacqueline Fernandez’s version of Madhuri Dixit’s iconic song Ek Do Teen by terming it ‘crass’ but ‘Baaghi 2’ director Ahmed Khan had different take on the whole controversy, he said, “It is such an iconic song and if any other person had recreated that I would also comment on it. We tried it and we are ready to take positive and negative comment on our stride. I am happy that Mr. N Chandra called and praised me, Saroj Khan also praised the song and these two people are very important who conceived and made this song. We tried to achieve 10% of the original song but we achieved 25% of it so I am quite happy with whatever the outcome is. Jacqueline Fernandez has done a fantastic job as a dancer and Ganesh Acharya shot the song the way we wanted it. We just attempted that song to show a different side of it for the younger audience and positive and negative comments are just part of the filmmaking”
It is a sequel to the 2016 film Baaghi. The film is scheduled for release on 30 March 2018.
