Bollywood celebrities attend the Prayer meeting held in honor of late Shammi Nargis Rabadi on Thursday. The veteran actress Shammi at 89, best remembered for her role in the Nineties sitcom ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’, died in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with mother in law Jaya Bachchan was first to be seen at the venue, followed by Aruna Irani, Farida Jalal, Poonam Sinha and Maya Alag.

Some of the veteran celebrities who were also present at the Shok Sabha were Mukesh Rishi, Gajendra Chauhan, Prem Chopra accompanied by his wife, followed by actress Dimple Kapadia, Dilip Joshi and Waheeda Rehman also paid their respect to the last Shammi Aunty at the prayer meet in Mumbai.

Filmmaker Kiran Rao, Benegal Sehgal, directors Abbas Mastan,
actor Anup Soni, and veteran actress Renuka Shahane, along with Farah Khan and Politician Priya Dutt and Tina Ambani, were later seen entering the venue.

Many actors took to social media and mourned her death like Khuda Gawah co-actor, Amitabh Bachchan, Politician Priya Dutt, Rishi Kapoor, Azmi Shabana, and Abhishek Bachchan.

Some of her greatest works being, Miss India, Lahu Ke Do Rang, Coolie No 1, Arth, The Burning Train and Hum, Shammi was last seen in 2013 film ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’, essaying the role of a Parsi woman.
