On this Women’s Day Actor Shahid Kapoor has come out in support of Reebok’s ‘Bruises can be good’ experiment and urges all his fans for support.
Shahid Kapoor released the video on social media. He captioned it, “We need the society to know #BruisesCanBeGood. Sign the petition & make #selfdefence a part of college/school education. #BruisesCanBeGood #ReebokIndia”
In the video, Reebok India invited a group of people to react to a bruised woman. Their reactions highlighted a cruel prevalence in our society, which definitely needs to change.
Shahid Kapoor also urged fans to sign the petition to make self-defense a mandatory part of school and college curricula for female students. It’s time every woman becomes “Fit To Fight”.
The campaign unravels existing societal insights on violence and assault. It highlights, through a special video, how most people perceive bruises and marks on women to be a result of violence.
Reebok has made a petition on Change.org to make self-defense a mandatory part of school and college curriculum for female students. The aim is to send the petition to the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
After massive blockbuster Padmaavat, actor Shahid Kapoor is working on a social drama titled Batti Gul Meter Chalu, which is helmed by Shree Narayan Singh.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu, a satire about the lack of electricity in rural India, for which he has hired a language coach to learn a Garhwali dialect. The movie also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in the lead.
