Buckle up people, the first ever car heist drama action thriller, Drive, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to vroom in theatres on 7th September 2018.Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen together for the first time in Tarun Mansukhani’s Drive under Dharma Productions. Filmmaker Karan Johar announced the new release date for the film on social media.
Karan Johar took to his social media account and shared a poster of the film along with release date. He wrote, “The Dharma and Fox Car franchise races to cinema halls on the 7th of September, 2018!! #DRIVE starting @itsSSR and @Asli_Jacqueline directed by @Tarunmansukhani Buckle up and get set for the zooming ride!! @apoorvamehta18 @foxstarhindi @DharmaMovies”
Dostana Famed filmmaker Tarun Mansukhani is making a comeback of sorts with Drive, also tweeted about the film. He wrote, “Buckle up people!!! #Drive zooms into theatres on 7th September!! @Asli_Jacqueline @itsSSR @karanjohar @DharmaMovies @foxstarhindi”
The movie revolves around a stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver. He becomes attracted to a female neighbor whose husband owes some money to a local gangster and is drawn deeper into a dangerous underworld.
The drama also stars Vikramjeet Virk and Sapna Pabbi in the lead roles. The film is said to be a remake of the Hollywood motion picture Drive (2011) and also it was confirmed by producer Karan Johar that Drive will be the first installment of a new film series.
The movie is slated for 7th September 2018 release.
