The comeback social drama Hichki starring Rani Mukerji gets a new release date, which is March 23rd, confirms the maker of the film, Yash Raj Films.
The official handle of Yash Raj Films, tweeted, “We’ve chosen a new date to reach you without any #Hichki. See you in cinemas on 23rd March, 2018. #RaniMukerji | @HichkiTheFilm.”
Rani Mukerji is gearing up for the release of her comeback vehicle Hichki. In the film, the talented actor will be seen playing the role of a teacher named Naina Mathur who suffers from Tourette Syndrome. Earlier, the film was set to release on February 23, 2018, but now it will hit the screens a month later – March 23.
Confirming the same Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh also tweeted, he wrote, “Poster of YRF’s #Hichki with new release date: 23 March 2018…Stars Rani Mukerji…Siddharth P Malhotra directs…Produced by Maneesh Sharma… Presented by Aditya Chopra”
Hichki is a story about a woman who turns her most daunting weakness into her biggest strength. Naina Mathur (Rani Mukerji) is an aspiring teacher who suffers from Tourette Syndrome.
After several interviews and numerous rejections, she lands her dream job as a full-time teacher in one of the most elite schools in the city. However, she soon realizes that the class she has been assigned comprises of defiant and impish students who can’t seem to keep out of trouble. Despite a few initial hiccups, Naina must do whatever she can to ensure that her students realize their true potential, and defy all the odds against them.
Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, the movie releases in cinemas on 23rd March 2018.
