KriArj Entertainment’s Prerna Arora during an interaction on Wednesday said the last two months and Padmaavat’s date shift has affected many movie release dates in 2018.
KriArj’s entertainment will be releasing 7 to 8 films in 2018 with a big star cast like Shahid, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Anushka Sharma and many more. When asked how is she coping with the hectic schedule Prenaa said, ” I have lost touch with myself, I just realized it. We had a well-planned infrastructure for the year but after the date shuffling a lot of things changed in the last two months. We have faced a lot of changes due to the shift in Padmaavat’s release. There are many films that had to be moved forward and the dates had to be changed.
A lot of my projects are coinciding now with movies releases and ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ going on the floor. Its hard but I am enjoying it as a challenge. I am very happy even though this has happened, the challenge will make me better.”
KriArj’s previous collaboration with Akshay’ ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ had brought change and development in the society when asked what changed will society see after ‘Pad Man’ she said, “Somewhere, I think while watching the film men will realize and they will feel for women. I think after the film men will really value what women feel and go through. For them, it would be like knowing how their wife sister or Girlfriend sitting next to them feels.”
Based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, ‘Pad Man’ is the story of how one man came up with a revolutionary method of producing cost-effective sanitary napkins and empowered thousands of women across the country in the process. Akshay Kumar has stepped into the shoes of Muruganantham and is all set to educate the masses. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in the lead roles.
Produced by KriArj Entertainment, Mrs. Funnybones Movies, Hope Productions and Columbia Pictures the film stars, Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, and Radhika Apte.
Directed by R Balki, the film is scheduled to release on 9th February.
