Parineeti Chopra along with Rekha, Asha Bhosle and Jackie Shroff at the 5th ‘Yash Chopra Memorial Award’ on Friday. During an interaction, the actress said, it was her dream to work with Akshay Kumar for a long time.
Parineeti Chopra just finished shooting for ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar’ with Arjun Kapoor when asked about shoots for future projects she said, “Yes I am very very excited and I am actually leaving in 3 days to start shooting for ‘Namaste England’ but I think I am even more excited to start shooting for Kesari. It has been a dream to work with Akshay for a very long time, he is also Punjabi and I am also Punjabi and we are doing a very Punjabi film so I extremely excited to shoot for it.”
The ‘Golmaal Again’ actress will be shooting for two different films at the same time, “I will have to shoot it simultaneously because fortunately, the dates have worked out like this. I will be going back and forth between Amritsar London and wherever we will be shooting for them.
Bollywood playback doyenne Aasha Bhosle was presented with the 5th ‘Yash Chopra Memorial Award’ as an acknowledgment of her contribution to the Indian Cinema.
While talking about the Yash Chopra Memorial Award and her experience working with the late filmmaker Yash Chopra himself she said. “He was the first mentor in the industry even before Adi. He the friendliest and most senior mentor, even today when I think about him I get very emotional. This year when I got the chance to be here with Asha Ji and Rekha Ji I couldn’t say no.”
The award has been instituted by the TSR Foundation of T Subbarami Reddy in memory of the producer-director, Yash Chopra who died in 2012.
Parineeti was last seen in Golmaal Again director by Rohit Shetty in 2017, her future projects include, ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ and ‘Namaste England’ with Arjun Kapoor and ‘Kesari’ co-starring Akshay Kumar in 2018.
