Here comes the trailer of superstar Diljit Dosanjh as Sajjan Singh Rangroot in forthcoming movie Rangroot based on First World War.
The Udta Punjab actor Diljit released the trailer on his social media account. He captioned it. “Baba Sukh Rakhe #Rangroot Releasing Worldwide #23rdMarch”
This film is based on Sikh regiments that went to the front lines during WWI. Sajjan Singh, a polo aficionado, was a British Indian Army officer and Maharaja of Ratlam State, ruling from 1893-1947. He served on the Western Front during WWI.
The trailer, which is not short on war scenes, also highlights the underlining conflict of a soldier, who is away from home and fighting a war for people, who are trying to destroy is motherland. Diljit has done an excellent job.
Diljit Dosanjh and Sunanda Sharma are all set to come together for a Punjabi movie. Patake fame girl Sunanda will be sharing screen space with Diljit for the first time.
Sunanda Sharma, who has been a well-known Punjabi singer, will make her acting debut with the film. The film will be directed by Pankaj Batra.
‘Sajjan Singh Rangroot’ which has been written by Gurpreet Singh Palhadi, the movie pays a tribute to the sacrifice that the Indian Army made during the World War I.
The film is said to be singer-turned-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s dream project. This would be the very first time that any Pollywood film will have British actors playing key roles.
The movie also stars Yograj Singh, Jagjeet Sandhu, Dheeraj Kumar and Jarnail Singh in pivotal roles. The movie is slated for 23rd March 2018 release.
