Good News for Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ban removed for ‘Padmavat’


The most controversial film of got a Go ahead from the Supreme court. Supreme court has removed the ban from all 4 states and also put stay on notification of state government. 

The bench of Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, Justice A.  Justice M. Khanvilkar and Justice Dhananjaya Chandrachud, considered the plea of the film’s producer, Viacom 18 and the counsel of the other, that its all-India release will be on January 25. In such a situation, a quick hearing is required on this petition.

The bench also said, to make law and order in the state is state government’s responsibility and Bench has given an order, ‘We direct that such notification issued and orders will be stopped. In this case, by issuing such notification or order, we are also blocking other states.’  Chief Justice also said that whenever any film got a ban like this my constitutional conscience draws me.

The film has already passed the censor board certification and Karni Sena is still doing protest on asking for Ban.
