In the wake of Padmaavat release, fringe group Shri Rajput Karni Sena activists attacked a school bus carrying staff and children, this act of hooliganism hasn’t gone down well with Bollywood Celebrities, who has strongly condemned the act and called it “Terrorism”
Farhan Akhtar took to his social media account and slammed the entire fringe group. He wrote, “Attacking a school bus is not an agitation. It is terrorism. The people who did it are terrorists. Please refer to them as such”
In Gurugram, a school bus carrying children and staff was also damaged in stone-pelting, though no one was said to be injured.
Veteran Actor Prakash Raj also expressed his anger on social media. He wrote, “Children of my country shiver with fear and cry….as karni Sena attacks a school bus….The elected Government looks the other way…The opposition party diplomatically reacts…aren’t u all ashamed to trade our children’s safety…for ur vote bank politics…#justasking”
Music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani also slammed the act and called out Indian Prime Minister to look into the issue. He wrote, “Dear Narendra Modiji. Just today, in a BJP-run state, a bus full of school children were attacked by goons. This “discussion” has been on since November. Your governments in four states have been unable to contain a bunch of criminals. Could you please denounce them publicly, at least?”
Despite Supreme Court’s nod to the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat, the fringe outfits refuse to back down and several acts of vandalism and arson have been committed in various parts of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
