Manish Koirala Wraps Sanjay Dutt Biopic


Actress Manisha Koirala, who will be portraying the late actress Nargis Dutt in the upcoming biopic based on Sanjay Dutt, has wrapped up shooting for the film and says she had a memorable time working on the project.
Manisha Koirala shared a photograph of herself along with the film’s director Rajkumar Hirani on Instagram. She captioned it, “It’s a wrap of this year’s final film project. Memorable times while doing this film. Rajkumar Hirani, film shoot, Bollywood”
“Sanju” is an upcoming 2018 biographical drama film, written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film is based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying the role of Dutt.
The movie also stars Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Dia Mirza as Manyata Dutt, along with special appearances by Sonam Kapoor as Tina Munim, Karishma Tanna as Madhuri Dixit, Anushka Sharma, Jim Sarbh, Vicky Kaushal and Tabu. The movie is slated for March 30, 2018 release.
Koirala took a break from full-time acting in 2012 and returned to films with the drama Dear Maya (2017). Directed by Sunaina Bhatnagar and co-starring Madiha Imam, her role was of a middle-aged lonely woman who embarks on a journey to find love when she receives love letters.
Koirala has also committed to star in the anthology film Bombay Talkies 2. The film, a sequel to the 2013 film Bombay Talkies, will feature her in one of the segments directed by Dibakar Banerji. She has also finished a Hindi-Bengali bilingual film, Mauli, where she will play the role of a mother to a 20-year-old.
