Karan Johar Starts Shooting for Bombay Talkies 2


Filmmaker Karan Johar kick-starts the shooting of Bombay Talkies 2 today, shares the clapboard picture on social media.
Released in 2013, Bombay Talkies was a curation of four short films, directed by Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar. The film was released on 3 May 2013, celebrating the 100 years of Indian cinema.
Now the sequel “Bombay Talkies 2” is in motion and Karan Johar has started shooting for his quartet in the series. The filmmaker took to his social media account and shared a picture of clapboard. He wrote, “#bombaytalkies2 begins! @vickykaushal09 @Advani_Kiara @NehaDhupia @RonnieScrewvala @ashidua_fue”
The Karan Johar segment will feature Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Neha Dhupia in the lead. The movie will be produced by Ashi Dua and presented by Ronnie Screwvala.
Back in 2013, Karan Johar directorial segment was titled Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh, which starred Saqib Saleem, Randeep Hooda, and Rani Mukerji. The film talked about homosexuality.
Apart from Karan Johar, veteran filmmakers Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap will also showcase their segment.
Dibakar Banerjee segment will feature Sanjay Kapoor in the lead.
Apart from the directorial venture, Karan Johar has an interesting line-up of movies in production under his home banner, Dharam Productions. Movies like Drive, Raazi, Kesari, and Brahmastra will be releasing in 2018.
